Overview of Remanufactured Toner Cartridges

Ink ReStore is committed to meeting the unique needs of our business customers. We offer a full line of printing products designed to save you money as well as help you contribute to protecting our natural resources through recycling.

You can order your printing supplies by contacting our business specialist or visiting our on-line store. We will pick up your empties and deliver fresh cartridges to you generally by the next day.

Whether you wish to simply exchange your empty cartridges for remanufactured ones or sponsor a cartridges recycling program that your employees can participate in- you will be significantly reducing the number of cartridges that never have the opportunity to be reused.

Why Buy Remanufactured Laser Printer Cartridges?

Save 30% to 50% over the cost of 'new' cartridges. Take a look at the box your new cartridge came in.... often you will see a disclaimer that states "made of new and remanufactured materials".

Remanufactured?.... I thought it was NEW!

- Provides excellent quality!...

Unlike a new cartridge, which contains components intended for disposal, a remanufactured laser cartridge is retrofitted with heavy duty replacement parts designed specifically to last. Remanufactured cartridges contain high-quality components and toners that yield outstanding results. Remanufacturing technology has become so precise that remanufactured cartridges often exceed the original equipment manufacturer's standards.

- Reduces Waste and Saves Natural Resources!...

Millions of unrecycled cartridges went into landfills last year in the United States alone. This year, cartridge recycling will save over 2.5 million gallons of oil. The plastic used in each printer cartridge takes more than ten centuries to decompose. The average remanufacturer salvages and restores enough cartridges each year to equal the height of a 120-story building. More than five quarts of oil are required to produce each new laser cartridge. In just seven months, cartridge remanufacturing will save 11 million gallons of oil, or more than that which was spilled by the Exxon Valdez in Alaska's Prince William Sound in 1989.

- Benefits the local economy!...

Most new cartridges are made in China; buying remanufactured cartridges keeps your money here, helping to create and maintain more jobs.

- Saves tax dollars!...

Every used cartridge thrown into a landfill costs a taxpayer money. Even a cartridge that is recycled through standard recycling efforts must be "reclaimed" through a process that costs tax dollars and consumes energy. Remanufactured cartridges are restored without ever entering any waste stream, which means substantial savings for taxpayers over the life of that cartridge.

- It's your lawful right!...

You have the right to use the products of your choice. It is a violation of the Sherman & Clayton Antitrust Acts, and therefore illegal, for any manufacturer to require you to use its supplies exclusively unless it can conclusively demonstrate that other brands are incompatible with its equipment. Contrary to popular belief, using remanufactured cartridges CANNOT and WILL NOT void your printer or copier warranty.

Remanufacturing Is The Highest Form of Recycling!

Our Process

Ever wonder how Ink ReStore remanufactures toner cartridges?

Read on and we’ll give you a quick outline of what you actually get when you buy a remanufactured cartridge from Ink ReStore.

Here's how the Ink ReStore toner cartridges are remanufactured:

  1. Every cartridge delivered to our facility is inspected to ensure that it is functional prior to entering the remanufacturing process..
  2. Complete disassembly of the cartridge. No cutting, burning or drilling holes in cartridge.
  3. We replace the key components of the cartridge using matched sets of parts which are manufactured to meet or exceed original parts and have been tested to ASTM standards to work together as an imaging system.
  4. Toner release bin is filled with high quality toner specifically matched with the drum and the printer in which it is to be used.
  5. Complete reassembly of cartridge.
  6. Thorough testing of the remanufactured cartridge to assure its imaging performance meets our high standards and yours.
